General Questions

1. What types of drug tests do you offer?

We offer urine, hair, saliva, and breath alcohol testing. Common panels include 5-panel, 10-panel, DOT, non-DOT, and specialty testing.

2. How long does a drug test take?
We are a walk-in Clinic, no appointment necessary. Wait times are no longer 10–15 minutes in and out. Results can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on the type of test.

3. Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Appointments are ONLY needed for DOT and NON-DOT Physicals. Normal service walk-ins are welcome.

4. What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please bring a valid photo ID and any forms provided by your employer or program.

Results & Reporting

5. How soon will I get my results?

  • Negative results: Usually within 24–48 hours

  • Positive or lab-confirmed tests: May take 2–5 business days depending on the test type and confirmation process.​

 

6. How will I receive my results?
Results are sent securely via email, fax, or online portal depending on your preference or employer’s instructions.

7. Are my results confidential?
Yes. All drug test results are kept confidential and are only shared with authorized parties according to HIPAA regulations.

Services

8. Do you provide DOT drug testing?
Yes, we are certified to perform DOT-compliant drug and alcohol testing, including for CDL drivers and other safety-sensitive employees.

9. Can you test on-site or at my business location?
Absolutely! We offer mobile drug testing services for businesses and individuals across the Dallas area.

10. Do you offer testing for court, probation, or legal purposes?
Yes, we provide court-admissible drug and alcohol testing with proper documentation and chain-of-custody procedures.

Payment & Insurance

11. How much does a drug test cost?
Prices vary depending on the test type. Basic urine drug screens start at around $45–$65. Call us for an exact quote. (Prices May Vary)

12. Do you accept insurance?
In most cases, drug tests are not covered by insurance. We accept cash, credit/debit, Zelle, and company invoicing (for corporate accounts).

Miscellaneous

13. What is a chain of custody form?
It’s a document that ensures the sample is handled and transported securely, required for DOT, legal, and certified testing.

14. Can I get a test if I’m under 18?
Yes, but you will need parental or guardian consent.

​

15. What happens if I can’t provide a urine sample?
You will have up to 3 hours to provide a sample. If not, it may be marked as a refusal or rescheduled based on your situation.

After-Hours Fee

16. Does Test First charge an after-hours fee for service?

Yes. Test First does charge an After-Hours fee of $275.00, for any service outside of normal business hours.
